Tech Dining Sizzle Reel

When the students demanded better quality and more value, Georgia Tech made the move from contract to self-operated dining. The sizzle reel was the first introduction of the new Tech Dining to the campus community.

Orientation Preview of Auxiliary Services

COVID 19 provided some challenges for our orientation program and we had to go digital fast. Parents and students both viewed this overview of Auxiliary Services through the online portal for orientation.

Innovation Station Tech Fair Event Recap

This video recap of the Innovation Station Tech Fair event helped to capitalize on FOMO. The post-event video was used on social media and students who viewed also received the discounts provided at the event.

 
 

Coca-Cola Event Recap

In a partnership with Coca-Cola, we were able to bring the Coke Hug Me machine to the Georgia College campus. The surprise event was a big hit and received local newspaper coverage as well as a great response with this video on social media.

Introducing a new service: TapRide

TapRide, on-demand ride service, was a new concept for our campus community so we had to explain the service via video. Students loved the service and ridership took off the first week of service.

 
 

How-To: Depositing Cat Cash

“How do I deposit money for my student?” is one of the most common questions we received. This video, aimed at parents explained the process quickly and effectively. The video was paired with a postcard sent to parents and we saw an increase of deposits and a decrease in the number of times we answered that question each day.

Chick-fil-A Surprise and Delight Event

In a partnership with Chick-fil-A, our campus hosted a Surprise and Delight event giving away 2,000 chicken sandwiches. The flash event occurs with no previous marketing and results in great content and views on social media. Sampling is a great way to connect with students, get their feedback, and provide content for social media.

Innovation Station Sponsors the Annual Homecoming Concert

Innovation Station, the online technology store, sponsored the annual Homecoming Concert, one of the biggest student events of the year. Innovation Station provided glow bracelets imprinted with the store logo to every concert attendee, If they wore the bracelet in the store the next Monday, they received special discounts on products.

Daily Huddle

Each day the Dining Services team does a pre-service huddle to be sure everyone is on the same page. The huddle ends with a group cheer. Showing our students this moment on social media had great effects and demonstrated the care the dining team takes every day.

Dr. Seuss Day at Barnes & Noble

Dr. Seuss Day provided the campus bookstore, Barnes & Noble at Georgia College, the perfect opportunity to build town and gown relationships. The store invited local day care centers to visit for a day of crafts and story time. The event was featured in the local newspaper later that week.

Student Focus Groups

Getting feedback from customers is key to successful marketing. Surveys, focus groups, text feedback, and one-on-one interactions… there are hundreds of ways to listen.

Grand Opening of Barnes & Noble at Georgia College

Located in an historic building in downtown Milledgeville, the grand opening of the bookstore gave us an opportunity to demonstrate the relationship the store would have with the city.
